Movement and Expression for Everybody’s Body

Welcome to this space for people of all ages and abilities — because everybody’s body is different, and every body deserves the opportunity to move, feel good, and express themselves in ways that are supportive, joyful, and empowering.

I am a longtime ballet and modern dance teacher, yoga instructor, and movement educator with a passion for helping people connect more deeply to their bodies, minds, and spirits through varying kinds of movement. As a full time wheelchair user due to a Cervical Spinal Cord Injury, life and movement became more than a profession for me, it became an essential part of my healing and wellbeing.

Being temporarily immobile from the shoulders down, I was challenged to focus even more deeply on awareness, breath, and whatever movement was available to me each day. I learned how powerful even the smallest movements can be in supporting both physical and emotional health. That journey expanded my understanding of movement, posture, nervous system connection, and overall wellbeing in entirely new ways.

I am excited to share a unique and inclusive approach to movement that combines elements of Ballet, Yoga, Face Yoga, Breath Work, Posture, and Embodied Awareness.

  • Face Yoga

Working with the basic principles of Yoga, unifying breath with “movement”, we concentrate on the muscles of the face, neck and shoulders along with working on posture to stimulate the central nervous system. Whether you are able to move a little or a lot, this method has proven to be not only very effective, but also lots of FUN!

  • Accessible Yoga

An inclusive approach that adapts traditional yoga teachings, including postures, breathing and meditation, to fit the unique needs of each individual. Rather than expecting a student to fit a standard pose, the practice adapts the pose to the student, welcoming all ages, body types, and physical abilities.

  • The Ballet Yoga Experience

Created from the need to help performers and actors who wanted to learn to dance, this specialized dance-based movement technique and therapy program, created in Argentina by former ballerina Marka Danielle, emphasizes proper body mechanics, spatial awareness, and rehabilitation through graceful motion.
